ABOUT ME
Well, I'm in the Army and I'm in Seaside, California. No drugs. Drinking, smoking, partying, all good.
PHILOSOPHY
I live my life to make a positive difference and to experience all that there is. I like challenge, change, and fun.
I don't like holy rollers, close-minded evangelicals, or creationists. I was raised with lots of religions, and I enjoy religious debate, but don't dare try to tell me what or how I should or should not worship.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm a newbie, but this is right up my alley, and a good lighthearted balance to the rigors of military life. I'm a hippie at heart. I have connections for everything worth doing here.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In Bellingham, Washington as a college freshman on a walkabout I first learned the art of "Stealth Camping". This is what us backpackers do when we happen to not have the cash for a hostel in town. I slept in the hedgerow of a city park, and had a very cozy night of it, watching the stars. However, now that I've matured, I know that traveling is half about where you go, and half about who you connect with. Life gets lonely for the solo adventure traveler, and the best thing in the world is meeting up with like-minded people and sharing.
Interests
Learning new things, meeting free people who love life, backpacking and camping, adventuring, music, and spinning ideas into plans.

yes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen sunsets on glaciers, swarming ladybugs, the Marfa lights, and detonating Hellfire missiles. I've chased a bear into the woods to get my peanut butter back. I walked under a mountain lion in a tree once without knowing it. I've given backrubs for handouts on Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco. I've Canoed in Canada, Kayaked in Kentucky, and ridden on aircraft carriers and destroyers. I play a great game of Dungeons and Dragons, too.
Teach, Learn, Share
Tying a tautline hitch (one of the most useful knots in the known world, essential for camping).
I know a lot. I'll get back to this list when I have more time.
