About Me

As of April 2016 I quit my job to follow my dreams of traveling! I am a jack of all trades and about as simple as I am complex. In no particular order, my interests range from philosophy, reading, flow/fire arts, musicianship, billiards, engines and tinkering, making/crafting, adventuring and camping, food and cooking, and lots more. I'm just now dipping my toes into photography.

I'm very friendly and enjoy meeting new people too! I heard Couchsurfing.org is a great way to travel and explore cities so I'm curious to see what it's all about!

If you have any questions about me or my travels, please feel free to ask :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorites, phewww I'm bad at picking favorites. So here are some that just come off the top of my head.

Music; Pretty much anything, I've been listening to a lot of Jared Mee's and the Grown Children lately, a lot of singer song writer Adam Green, and Cake. Although I love everything from ZZ Top to Pink Floyd and pretty much everything in between.

Movies; SLC Punk is an old, all time favorite of mine. The new one was pretty good too. Other favorite movies include John Dies at the End, Almost Famous, Pool Hall Junkies or Layer Cake (really any Guy Richie film) and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. I'd also add Life Aquatica there just because Bill Murray is awesome and it's such a funk and quirky movie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One? Really? Only one? Well most people think that my fire spinning hobby is pretty amazing. Or that I quit my job and put my career on hold to travel the world. Personally though, I'm quite proud of paying my own way through college and obtaining my degree.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm happy to to teach any of the things I'm interested in, be it philosophy, engine work, flow arts or fire spinning, or even martial arts.

What do I want to learn? Everything! I'm really interested in culture and history, finding those secret spots that only locals know about, I'm interested in academia and want to learn much more about engineering, physics, quantum mechanics, psychology, and much more.

I guess my share goes back to "teach" a bit; I know a lot about a lot of things, from building resumes to websites to ways to make money to music theory and playing instruments to really pretty much anything I can reasonably provide.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a pretty decent cook and would be happy to cook a meal for us! I can share stories and information, provide all kinds of advice, really anything related to anything I've already wrote about. I'm pretty good at cleaning up too like dishes or whatever else, laundry. And I don't mind doing some physical labor here and there such as yard work, helping to fix things, etc. My girlfriend is pretty crafty too so she might make you a necklack or dream catcher or something of the like. Or if we have extra nick-naks, I'd be happy to pass them along! Like magnets, shot glasses, post cards, that sorta thing.
