CURRENT MISSION

NOTE: I require that potential surfers are either verified or have references from hosts/surfers, or both. If you are new to CS and have no references and have not taken the step to get verified, my response will be no. Additionally, though my house is suitable for children, it is not baby-proofed and may not be suitable for small children.

I don't mind short notice if you don't mind clutter. I always try to tidy up, but sometimes life is very very busy and I don't have time to do that on short notice.

To live a life that is meaningful; to have a heart that is open; to have arms that are welcoming; to have a spirit that both gives off and attracts positivity.

ABOUT ME

I am a Virgo, and Bohemian, which makes for very interesting internal dialogue! I have been pretty tightly wound at times, but as I get older, the inner Bohemian free spirit comes out more and more often. I am spiritual, not religious. I believe in a higher power, the concept of Karma, and equal rights for all. I choose to be happy, celebrate and enjoy life, but am a non smoker, non-drug user, and only a very occasional drinker. Drugs are not ok, and smoking will be ok outside only; light drinking is fine.

PHILOSOPHY

Like all people, I know that I will have good days and bad days. For the most part, I have decided to have my good days while I am alive to enjoy them, and am saving most of my bad days for when I am dead. I believe in Karma, and strive to treat others the way I wish to be treated. I try not to judge, and believe we all celebrate the same Higher Power, regardless of what we call Him/Her. I believe that if we look for and expect the best in others, we usually find it.

I have met the kindest, most interesting people through CS. Free spirits, many of them, like me, who always have a smile to share and another story from the road to tell.

I love to read, my interests go across the board. My favorite author is Paolo Coelho, but both fiction and non-fiction occupy the many bookshelves in my home. I enjoy music, and listen primarily to country music. George Strait is my all time favorite.

I lived in Mexico City, Mexico for three years. In April - June 2013 I walked the Camino de Santiago in Spain and spent two weeks in Ireland after. When I turned 40, I did 40 things in 40 days that I had never done before, including skydiving, riding a mechanical bull, running a 5k, and spending a night in a tent alone for the first time in my life. Hmmmmm . . . . that's more than one . . .

I seem to have some talent for teaching, and would love to help people improve their photography skills. I'll try to think of other things I feel I know enough about to teach. I would love to learn more about painting. I feel that I have an inner artist, but have no training on how to let her out.
