CURRENT MISSION
I love thinking and imagining my mind as a big garret where there are many trunks, some more new some other old. Sometimes, in my relaxing time, I go up to my garret and I open one of these trunks and I start peeping.
ABOUT ME
Here we are, Mark and Stefy, travellers not for chance! We have started travelling (as i use to say) since 1999, and I understood that this was my path. We decided to create a site because we wanted to share all the emotions we felt roving the world. They could be useful to who is going to backpack to discover new places. Travelling helped us to grow up and to understand more ourselves and the world that surrounds us. Only a traveller can understand what plan a trip means, close the door behind you, leave, and, once back, think about the next destination¦
travelling gave us the most beautiful and indescribable feelings: it's difficult to describe what you feel when you are alone in boundless landscapes horizonless, under immense starry skies and you feel as you can touch it with a finger, when you listen to the most beautiful symphonies that nature can give you¦ endless sunset, hugs, glances, the smiles of all the people met during my path, that often, with small actions, made me feel the most important lessons of life¦ and then landscapes, deserts, seas, glaciers, far people and cultures¦only travelling you can fill luggage of your own life, a luggage never full¦
Of course journey seen as the contact with the people and the immersion in their real local everyday life, to understand and realize that our society has still a lot to learn¦ You only need a good plan, a good map a guide (I often use Routard), the essential for your trip, photograph equipment, a pinch of courage, adventure, rashness and sound madness as well, and a great desire of dreaming¦ you need only this! Travelling in this way, flights apart, becomes rather cheapâÃâ¬Ã¦
I love to report in my faithful journey journals all the adventures and ups and downs. My tales dont claim anything beyond being a faithful testimony of the sensations picked up in worlds different from ours. They tell about what I saw and what happened to me around the world, nothing.
Then my great passion is photography too, born and grown up during my path¦ so far it has become an illness for me, considering the hundreds pictures I took in every journey of mine, to be called: the japanese! I find wonderful to catch images, that are every day life situations, faces, landscapes, the important is that they can touch who looks at them (in primis who took them).
A photograph has to talk, tell, communicate¦and when it manages, its a great satisfaction!
I have travelled a bit and I have realized that places or means, landscapes or monuments, people or cultures do not determine the unicity of a journey but only our wayfarers spirit or as I use to say of worlds gipsy.
It doesnt matter how, if on foot or by bike, by motorbike or by car, by plabe or by boat, you leave for a journey: you will find the worlds wonders and you will know yourself better!
My advice is: travel! even with your mind and imagination but travel, and sometimes, when you can with the backpack too (as for me its never enough...)!
