About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Preparing a mountain hiking trip in La Réunion.
ABOUT ME
I lived 15 years in Montréal, but I grew up in a little town. Than I was missing the calmness so I bought my ''little house in the prairie'', with lots of trees, where I pass lots of time looking at my plants growing !.
I make my own compost and put my trash on the street about twice a year. Pride !
Not vegetarian, but I barely never eat meat . It's not a question of principle, but I think it's just not good for me (us).
I enjoy (to much) chocolate & coffee.
I work because I have to work (ah! Money!)... to eventually stop working !
I never feel insecure about my life, my future.
I think it's wonderful to do nothing when you have nothing better to do, watching plants, birds, sky, rainfall, moon, sun, people walking, riverflow and many much more ''not'' important things.
Don't like envelopes. Like to be naked (I mean it...really). Don't like doors neither, so I took away almost all doors in my home and I'm trying to do so in my life.
I like to thinkl that I begin to be able to trow away the modern stresses of our lives.
PHILOSOPHY
Do you ''really'' need a bag ?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well, I'm looking for occasions to do something for someone, as a lot of some ones did some things for me (uuh! )
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I did couchsurfed before I knew this site... During about one year in Europe, I slept about half of the nights in houses of people I met in the street, beaches, laundrys, restaurants, buses, bars, planes, even W.C...
And now...Just had my first hosting experience. It's fully positive.
Hosted Guillaume Lumière (Alffys) 7 nights

Music, Movies, and Books
Classic rock (From Abba to ZZ Top)
Classic... period (from Abel to Zimmermann)
Swing, folk, blues, jazz, Sigur Ros, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Nina Simone, Tryo, Les ogres de Barback, traditional french songs...
I appreciate intelligent movies. But I won't spit on a good James Bond sometimes.
I hate ''telereality'' kind. Prefer to experience MY reality than to look at the other's.
I'm learning (and it works) to appreciate a part of the ''7e art'' who is quite unusual here. Ex : Kitchen stories, from Norway (Bent Hamer). Amazing !
Right now, I'm trying to read my 3rd Dostoievski.
Kundera, Tolstoi, Balzac, Victor Hugo... To forget the reality : Anne Rice, Stephen King, Bernard Werber.
''THE'' book I would bring on a desert island : Les misérables - V. Hugo.
-Scientific publishing (geo, archeo, antropho, histo, astro, med, bot, tech, bio... sciences !)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
16000 km cycling around Europe during 10 months.
I've been able to read a newspaper on the street at 3AM (Northern Norway, above the ''Polar cirkelen'', in august).
Teach, Learn, Share
TEACH... Lots of fun talking about anything concerning structural or glacial geomorphology...
You've seen a stone and want to know what it was ?
You're wondering what are all these microscopic marks on an almost perfectly polished rock ?
How old is the planet earth ?
AND LEARN...
I am (was?)a musician, didn't practice a lot in the last 5 years. So if someone could awake me... would be great.
I'm interested in botanics, medicinal plants, languages.
If there's something you REALLY want to say, it must be interesting.
