About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See the world and find a place I love.

Become as good a teacher as possible!

Finish writing my novel and hopefully get published someday.

ABOUT ME

This is a very vague topic...

I guess I can safely say travelling is the thing I love the most. I'm very interested in foreign languages, because I think their different logics say a lot about the people's way of thinking.

I guess I can be categorized as a geek, I like having fun, laughing, meeting great people and living unexpected things.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life hoping to see things that amaze me, and I believe in learning new things every day. I really hope I'll never become indifferent to the beauty the world has to offer.

I'm an atheist but open to any other views and opinions (I work at a private Catholic school).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been hosted once in Dublin (when I was living in Donegal for a year), it was a great experience and I really enjoyed seeing the city under a new light and benefitting from my host's knowledge about the area, and other things!

I've hosted a few people during the Hellfest in Clisson. Good experiences so far, even though the festival took most of my hosts' time!

Interests

As I said previously, I love travelling and learning / speaking foreign languages.

I also love video games, reading, drawing, writing, laughing, going out or hanging out...

And many other things you might discover when we meet!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book might be the Song of Ice and Fire series.
I have very little time to read at the moment, since I'm a brand new teacher. My work takes a lot of my time, but I find it very rewarding.

It's very difficult to choose a favorite movie, I love watching movies and TV series of all kinds.
One of the movies which touched me the most lately is Chappie. My favorite TV shows include Firefly, Breaking Bad, Dexter, The Big Bang Theory...

I listen to all kinds of music, however I tend to prefer classic rock. As long as it has a nice melody, I'm okay with it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I grew up in a very artistic family, and got to meet many people from the movie industry (both French and foreign) when I was young.

I've had quite an adventurous childhood, travelling with a tiny budget with my family and living from hand to mouth. I lead a much more tame life at the moment, but I still long for adventure.

My current adventure is trying to finish my novel, I've already won a first prize in a competition for a short story.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love sharing ideas and exchanging on just about any topic.

As a teacher, I've developped a kind of professional quirk, and I love teaching people what I know about. I think I'll always be a student at heart though, since I love discovering and learning new things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

There's not a lot of activities to do around here, but Nantes (5th biggest city in France) is about 20min away via public transportations, and it offers quite a lot of things to do (cultural and otherwise).

I live very close to the site of the Hellfest, a huge metal festival which takes place in the end of June on a yearly basis.
If this is what's motivating you to come over here, book your tickets in advance! Buying tickets on site will be tricky, as it is a very famous and popular festival.
