ABOUT ME
I am a 21 years old creative cosmopolitan with a âroll up the sleevesâ mentality, who wants to look beyond both literal and figurative borders. I am passionate about human nature, music, entrepreneurship, (international) politics, cultures and languages. Furthermore, my hobbies are traveling, photographing, snowboarding, running and painting. I was born in a small, humdrum village in the southern part of The Netherlands where I developed my love for most of above-mentioned. After secondary school, I started a programme in Tourism Management at The Rooi Pannen in Tilburg, The Netherlands. This programme gave me the possibility to do an internship as All-round PR, Host and Entertainment Intern for Iberostar Hotels in Rhodes (GR). Moreover, I did my graduation assignment in London (UK) as a Sales Co-ordinator for Guoman Hotels. I am honoured to have received the award for Best Intern of 2010 at The Rooi Pannen. Currently, I am studying International Business (Major: Cross-Cultural Management and Languages) at Avans University in Breda (NL), where I will obtain my Bachelor's Degree of Business Administration in 2015. This English taught programme largely focuses on Intercultural Management, Economics and languagesâEnglish, Spanish and Chinese. In February 2013, I will go to Costa Rica to fulfil an internship as Marketing Co-ordinator for The Casa Milagro Foundation. Besides the language skills and economic knowledge I have gained through education and internships, I have developed a strong eye for detail for both Marketing and Sales at various companies for which I have worked as Project Manager, Sales Promoter and Telemarketer. On top, together with a pal I founded and directed a travel agency in 2010 and 2011. In my off-time I am busy with my role as Member of the Young Democrats (D66) in Breda and with my duties as Vice-President for the TIPCY Student Union at the Avans School of International Studies. When I can find myself some time to take a few days off, I try to hit the road with one of my buddies. The thumb to hitch, some great people willing to take us and a couple of cold beers are all ingredients we need to have a hell of a time.
