I am a proud, single father of two wonderful daughters, who are in elementary school. I recently finished my tour with the United States Navy, and am now working as a civilian at the local Navy shipyard (PSNS). Though I was raised in Texas, I have decided to stay here in Washington. For those unfamiliar with where I live here on the Kitsap Peninsula, I live west of Seattle on the opposite side of the Puget Sound. There is an excellent ferry system here that taxis people across the Puget Sound to and from Seattle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have always wanted to learn the German language. Some of my latest research on language learning mentioned this website as a good way to meet and interact with travelers who speak my target language, so here I am. So, I specifically want to host native German speakers in order to get real time communication practice in the German language. It's also always a pleasure to meet people from other cultures.
