About Me
Hi! I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, a nice one hour drive from some beautiful sights and slopes in the Rockies : )! A few years ago I decided to buy a plane ticket to Iceland and start travelling, and since then I've constantly been planning my next trip! I hope to see much more of the world, though I prefer to travel by settling down in one place or another, rather than quick bursts of being in a country (or city) for just a couple days. I love to hang around and relax, talk over some coffee or a few drinks, or just walk/hike around and enjoy some nice views : )! I'm always interested in other people's travelling stories and getting ideas for where I'd like to go next!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm currently living just outside of Whitehorse at a Resort! On days off I plan to explore wherever my car will take me, from north BC to parts of Alaska!
Interests
I've played guitar for a fair while in my life and am always down for a little jam session when possible. I love playing on a drum kit as well but definitely don't consider myself a drummer! I really love science and more specifically find physics and astronomy fascinating, I hope to learn more about them! I'm always travelling with my camera and love to take (way too many) photos as I explore!

Music, Movies, and Books
Some of my favourite music artists are: Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Elvis, Queen, Tame Impala, Arctic Monkeys, Flume, The Black Keys, Chet Faker, Daft Punk, Ty Segall, and Otis Redding. Just to show a taste, but I'll listen to mostly anything.
I really enjoy reading. I'm into fantasy and know A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) very well (my favourite series), and also enjoy Lord of the Rings. I also enjoy science books, such as ones written by Carl Sagan (a personal hero), and general fiction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked at a luge track in my city and got to go down the bobsleigh (reaching 120km/hr) every week or so!
Teach, Learn, Share
I spent a year in Japan and am always happy to chat about it! I love the culture there (and food of course). For now I'd like to learn more about living in the mountains of Canada, somewhere I'd like to settle one day.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can help with cleaning, or whatever kind of errand is needed. I recently learned how to bake with the rice cooker and can bake a killer Banana Bread! Or even sitting around playing guitar if you enjoy the background noise!
