Overview
About Me
Looking for adventure in any form; I am a commercial pilot and engineer who loves literature and adrenaline sports. One of my favorite things to do is laugh with friends and share stories of the things we've seen and done. It is easy for me to find joy in most subjects, so long as it is with good people, from science to literature and everything in between.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a way to explore and absorb culture, while meeting locals and new people
Interests
Flying, drinking, learning, exploring new and wondrous things, meeting interesting people...I enjoy activities like bungee jumping, cliff diving, skydiving, wing walking, riding motorcycles and snowmobiles, as well as reading books and technical manuals on whatever I'm thinking about at the time. I am a full time commercial pilot, currently flying seaplanes in the greater Seattle area and BC, Canada.

Music, Movies, and Books
Almost all music (rock being my favorite genre, like In This Moment or Rise Against)
Most movies (sci fi especially): Star Wars, Marvel, Monty Python
Picky reader (CS Lewis, Tennyson, history) - I'm pretty apt to cracking open a technical manual or textbook for various types of aviation.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Acrobatic flying, wing walking (that's me in my profile picture)
Teach, Learn, Share
That's an interesting prompt.
What can I teach? I've taught everything from special education, to nuclear power, to flight. Teaching is a great way to learn. There is no such thing as a stupid question.
What do I like to learn? Most things, especially if it is being taught by an enthusiastic instructor. My favorite thing to learn is new vehicles.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cozy atmosphere with easy walking access to the Eastlake neighborhood in Seattle. It is also pretty close to UW and downtown Seattle.
