About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Right now I'm rockin' the United States of Awesome!
ABOUT ME
Thanks for stopping by...!
I'm a laid-back guy who enjoys traveling (I've been to over 50 countries now) and meeting people from all over the world. I'm always up for a fun adventure. I love good music, reading, exploring, photography, cooking, BBQ'ing, a nice ride on a wave, a good massage, a great laugh, sunset on the beach, warm weather and sunshine, and a smile from a stranger.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is short so enjoy it and make the most of it. After taking a meditation retreat earlier this year, my philosophy/religion is leaning towards Buddhism in the "general" sense, tho I'm not religious, per-se, whatever that means! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am a host in Kuta/Bali, Indonesia. We've had all sorts of folks crash on our couch and have enjoyed showing them what I guess you might call the "real" Bali, or at least real for my friends and I. Love learning new things, and love how when people roll into town, they always push you to see something about your home area that you never otherwise would!
Also involved in the local Bali CS community, helping to build awareness, meeting the awesome Indonesians (and some foreigners) that are hosting folks, and going on hikes and adventures with them whenever possible. Great people all around!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I rolled into Salt Lake City to visit a friend of mine, and 2 months later of sleeping on his couch, I finally made it out! I got a job at a ski resort, lived with my friend, snowboarded daily, and had a blast. I am not lookin' for a new roommate for two months - but hope that works out somewhere sometime for everyone.
Interests
I love to cook! Feel free to ask for an awesome homecooked meal in return for hosting me - mmm! BBQ is my speciality, but Italian, American, fish, etc etc, always something tasty can be whipped up on the cheap.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love to read: Great books that make you think about the world. I read "The Four Hour Workweek" over Xmas, and now I'm working on moving my career from a 40-hr-in-the-office job to something that frees me to travel and work wherever I want. And of course just 4 hrs a week! :) Once I quit the day job, I want to head to a great beach and get my divemaster while surfing every day. Anyone know if such a place exists?!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I laid in the center inside the sarcophagus of the Great Pyramid, all alone as they were closing, with tunes blaring in my headphones. Taking it in, ya know, because there must be something about the place. Eyes closed, lost to the world, when all of a sudden, the guard shakes me back to the world - scaring the shit out of me! :)
"Closing time" he says!
