ABOUT ME

I am a driven, goal-oriented teacher, musician, traveller, and activist, yet I am easy going and amiable with everyone. I require little to no luxury to be happy, and easily avoid stress and frustration simply using positive attitude. It is easy to get through the day that way!
I live in Hanoi, Vietnam.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed couches in the USA, and Europe, and right now I cannot host but this could change quickly!
I have hosted and I know how it is to travel and have trouble finding a place so I am hoping to be able to host again soon.

If you end up in Hanoi, feel free to contact me for help with knowledge of the area, food, etc.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It has been great. Travellers understand each other. Some of us want to get to know people and some of us want to be on our own - I am happy to accommodate either :)

Intereses

I perform professionally as a musician.... Singer, songwriter, I use my voice, guitar, and percussion to provide entertainment.
I am also an avid reader, and lover of education.
I love sports, namely basketball, and outdoor recreation like camping, hiking and exploring.
I work as a university English teacher and believe we should all be doing what we can to make life better for our neighbors, whether they be strangers or friends. I have worked for non-profits, bars, lamdscaping, insurance, a bookstore.... and more.

Such a range - from heavy metal to smooth jazz
Alice in Chains is my favorite band of all time, though you will catch me listening to Norah Jones or the Carpenters on the regular.

MOVIES

The Incredibles, Training Day, Spaceballs... I enjoy a good action or comedy, but theow in a drama or horror once in a while & I am good!

BOOKS

I will quite literally read anything from nonfiction to kids’ books to fantasy to horror. Some of my all-time favorites are:

Algo increíble que he hecho

Falling to Earth from 18,000 feet - skydiving is one of the most unique thrills I could imagine!
Seeing my nieces and nephews grow up - I have 3 sisters and they all have kids. I love being an uncle!
Hearing my music on the radio and going on tour - Independent musician with the acoustic duo "Bosen and Suede", I am honored to be a part of this group and do what I love!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I can teach guitar, basic Spanish, how to cross the street in Vietnam, and how to do the peacock yoga pose.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I am happy to help with dishes and laundry, etc. I do not need much in terms of space or luxury - I love hanging out with new people, listening to and telling stories, music, and trying new things!

Also, if you get me talking about linguistics, the conversation could easily last hours (it is my favorite thing ever).
