我做过的一件不可思议的事情

At 4:45AM, on the morning of July 17, 2010, I realized in my insomnia that I would finally be able to see the sunrise from the top of Mt. Greylock in New Ashford, MA--if I could make it. I grabbed a guitar and the keys to my car, and raced the rising mist over 20 miles, 9 of which ran up the twisting mountainside, only to discover a summit drenched with fog. I figured that my chance had passed, but stayed to strum the day on anyway--and sat for an hour, playing the fog off the top of the mountain, and watching the sun rise up through the haze. It was fucking beautiful.
