CURRENT MISSION To see interesting places and meet good people ABOUT ME I am an American Peace Corps Volunteer working as an 8th and 9th grade teacher in rural Zambia. I have lived there for 18 months in a mud hut without electricity or running water. I am an outdoors enthusiast and am an avid sportsman and skier. I am planning on getting my masters degree after I finish my contract in the Peace Corps. I was born and raised in Colorado and am going to return there as soon as possible. One Amazing Thing I've Done
I am a teacher in rural Zambia and have built a school, wells, and am currently building a pig farm in my community. I have started a library in the same community and am working to combat illiteracy. I have organized boy and girl camps focused on the promotion of women empowerment in my province in Zambia. I have hiked through remote regions in the South West United States and found intact pots and arrow heads older than Christianity. I have seen amazing things in the outdoors and would be happy to talk about them in person.
My Interests
I love the outdoors and putting myself in the far out difficult to access places that are largely untouched by other people. I have seen more beautiful and amazing things in these places than anywhere else in my life. I am somewhat of a book worm and documentary fan and I also enjoy good craft beer from time to time. Over all I am a simple guy just trying to enjoy what's around me.
