Overview
About Me
I'm in my final year at Carnegie Mellon University studying Economics and Statistics. I'm new to CS so a little bit nervous to try it, but my friends have all had such great experiences that I want to understand why they rave about it so much. I'm very active and adventuruous, and I love being in nature. I'm friendly and pretty outgoing, but also appreciate having time to be introverted and read or listen to music. My favorite part of traveling is eating and I think it is the best way to make new friends! I like spontaneity, but I am also realistic and understand the necessity of planning and organizing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like the concept of getting to meet and interact with locals while visiting a new place - I'd much rather have the local experience than a tourist one.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Shawshank Redemption, Spy, Good Will Hunting, Mean Girls, Inside Out
TV Shows: Parks and Recreation, Modern Family, How I Met Your Mother, The Bachelor, Dancing With the Stars, Chopped, Game of Thrones, 30 Rock
Books: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Jane Eyre, Harry Potter series
Music: I'm the kind of person who becomes obsessed with a song and listens to it on repeat 50 times in a row. These obsessions changes pretty much every week, but right now: Do It by Tuxedo, Work from Home by Fifth Harmony, Faded by Alan Walker, and The Less I Know the Better by Tame Impala. But my go-to's (I'm a bit embarassed to admit this) are 90's jamz and showtunes
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitchhiked across Kauai as an 18 year old girl to get to the beach to go surfing. Never judge a book by it's cover! The guy who picked us up wore dirty, raggedy clothes; had an unkempt/unshaven look; and drove a broken minivan with no seats in the back. We had such a fun time blasting music and taking in the beautiful scenery!
Teach, Learn, Share
“It’s an impressively arrogant move to conclude that just because you don’t like something, it is empirically not good.”
