About Me
Updated July, 20204
I’m Brooke, originally from New England, now living in Golden, CO. I am a curious, old soul who likes to explore. I've been known to ramble around the western USA in my van with my dog, Luna, while also working remotely in tech.
My partner Jacob and I have very much in common, including our knack for creativity, being athletes (him on bikes, me on trail runners) and have an interest in food and gardening.
Luna is a 35 lb cattle dog. She is very smart and I'm a well-trained dog mom, which makes her a well-behaved dog. ;) She loves to play (particularly fetch) and at the same time is happy to "sit and stay" whenever she is told.
Lifestyle wise we're clean and quiet; absolutely respectful of others and their homes. My ideal day would be running or doing something active in the morning, and exploring and going out for a good meal during the day.
Being that we have a van, we don't need sleeping quarters, however, we both work remote tech jobs, so having a quiet room to take meetings is important to us.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy connecting with others, especially in their locale! Jacob and I are good company and love to pitch in however we can.
I'm excited to participate in the cultural exchange.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2018 I helped to build an Earthship style community center in Puerto Rico, and in 2019 I volunteered as a WOOFer in Australia, so I am capable, a quick learner and eager to get my hands dirty.
Teach, Learn, Share
For the past couple years I have been very dedicated to learn how to cook well as a vegan. As a result I have a nice index of recipes going and just love to cook! I call it kitchen therapy. I could teach you all about different techniques I have learned, or, just cook for you to enjoy! :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a UX designer (think: websites, mobile apps, software) so pretty tech savvy. I can help out with any app ideas you want to brainstorm on or any IT related issues you may have.
