About Me

Hey there! I'm Bryan, originally from Bandung but now focused on carrier in Jakarta for a while. By day, I'm immersed in the world of conservation, working with an NGO to protect our precious natural habitats. With a background in marine science, I'm deeply passionate about all things nature-related. Whether it's exploring hidden trails, sampling local cuisines, or swapping stories with fellow travelers, I thrive on the thrill of new experiences. I believe the best adventures happen when you embrace the unknown, and I'm always eager to dive into the unfamiliar and make new connections along the way. Let's share tales and create memories together!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Opening up my self to fellow travelers and welcoming them into my world, I hope to foster a spirit of camaraderie, understanding, and cultural exchange. Whether it's swapping stories over a home-cooked meal, sharing tips on the best hidden gems in Bali, or simply offering a comfortable place to rest weary feet, and a global community bound together by a love for adventure and a thirst for discovery.

I hope to not only create unforgettable memories for myself but also to contribute to the collective tapestry of experiences that make travel truly transformative. So, whether you're passing through Bali or planning your next great adventure, know that my door is always open, and I can't wait to welcome you into my world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve had the privilege of playing a part in saving our planet through my work with an NGO dedicated to conservation. From the lush jungles of Bali to the remote shores of Timor Leste, I've witnessed the beauty of our world firsthand and felt a deep responsibility to protect it.

But life isn't all work and no play! I've embarked on unforgettable journeys across Asia, from the neon-lit streets of Tokyo to the bustling markets of Hanoi. Highlights include watching Coldplay perform live in Singapore, standing in awe at the foot of Mount Fuji, and immersing myself in the vibrant culture of Bali.

When I'm not busy exploring new destinations, you'll often find me indulging in my love for adrenaline-pumping activities. Whether it's catching waves on a surfboard, throwing punches in the boxing ring, or diving into the crystal-clear waters of Wakatobi, I'm always up for an adventure.

From the highlands of Lahat to the pristine beaches of Sumba, I've traversed the diverse landscapes of Indonesia and beyond, each journey leaving its own unique imprint on my soul. And the best part? The adventure is far from over – there's still so much more to see and experience in this incredible world of ours.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe in the power of sharing knowledge and experiences to enrich both our lives and the world around us. As someone deeply passionate about conservation, I'm always eager to share insights into sustainable living practices and the importance of preserving our natural environment.

In return, I'm constantly seeking opportunities to learn from others – whether it's picking up new surfing techniques from fellow wave riders, discovering the secrets of traditional cuisine in local markets, or gaining a deeper understanding of different cultures and perspectives through meaningful conversations.

I'm also more than happy to share my expertise in various activities, from surfing and diving to exploring off-the-beaten-path destinations in Indonesia and beyond. Let's swap stories, skills, and ideas, and together, let's inspire positive change and create a brighter, more sustainable future for all."
