About Me

You? Do you cook? Brilliant - I host only on a skill-share basis. Me? 30 years as an international performing arts educator teaching worldwide. Now? Back in the UK in a very pretty ancient, Weaver's town 12-minute train ride outside Bath, working as a freelance in performing arts consultancy (Music and Drama). Trying to write a book on ways to build theatre ensembles, as I renovate a tiny Victorian cottage on a hill in between the rain showers. Divorced with two grown-up kids, my cottage is home to me and a small rescue dog worried by her own shadow. Sascha (the dog) is terrified of the world. Love to share tales with international travelers. (If you can cook! - add 'master chef' at the top. Then I can see you have read this profile - many do not. ) The cottage is tiny. - Sorry, with just a spare single bed. Alas, NO couples. If you agree and would like to stay Fantastic. But a request. Sascha (rescue dog) is very timid. Please aim to arrive mid-afternoon at the latest This gives me time to meet you at the Rail Station and guide you back so Sascha gets used to you and does not hide in her own home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travellers are storytellers, consequently, shine a different light. I have spent a lifetime travelling, staging stories and teaching performance skills. Timeout from home renovation, particularly with a couch surfer prepared to exchange their cooking skills for hosting, and me as a local guide would be great!

Changes by the hour. Love jazz, great rock, blues, opera, and the impressionists.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Help produce two great kids. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

A performing arts educator by profession. Now free-lance, play guitar and harmonica, sharing ideas in that rare place between places. It makes tomorrow a better place.

What I Can Share with Hosts

In exchange for your cooking skills (of whatever level) I am very happy to share my tiny Victorian cottage in an incredibly quirky, historical town 12/15 minutes away from Bath. In exchange for you being in charge of the kitchen, I am delighted to be your guide in this beautiful part of the world. Totally unpredictable British weather allowing. Peace!
