ABOUT ME

Hey! My name is Ben and I am a 23 year old college student attending CSU Chico for Construction Management. I'm originally from the East Bay Area, California (hour away from San Francisco). I just returned home from a study abroad year on August 6th from Germany. It was the best experience I've ever had and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that I live one very short life and should make the best of my time on earth. I enjoy doing the things that make me happy and like to surround myself with the same type of people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I now have the opportunity to host people in my place and I have now made it my mission to only couchsurf when I travel if it is at all possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent an amazing four days in Amsterdam where I stayed with three different couchsurfers. I had the trip of a life time seeing Amsterdam through the eyes of two locals and one student! All three people took the time to show me what Amsterdam has to offer and I had the time of my life. I've also couchsurfed in Rome and stayed with the nicest Italian family and I've also surfed in Barcelona.

Interests

I enjoy many things and am fortunate enough to live in an area with lots to offer. I love mountain biking, riding my bike around town, hiking, snowboarding, skim boarding, wakeboarding, meeting new people, being introduced to new ideas, poker (texas hold em), jumping into cold bodies of water, playing frisbee on a nice sunny day, camping, improving my German... and the list goes on! I love doing things I've never done before.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all movies, cheesy ones included! I enjoy listening to country, classic rock, alternative rock, indie rock. Although am completely open to music I have never listened to before!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen beautiful Oahu, Hawaii and have driven some 15,000 total miles through the United States. I am now living in Tübingen, Germany and am excited to travel around Europe!

Teach, Learn, Share

I was a tumbling instructor for two years and can teach you the basic of how to do a back flip or back handspring.

I can share my interesting life experiences and goals, as well as listen to yours :)
