Hi, I'm Burakhan. I am student in Boğaziçi University. I believe that I am always a student not only in university but also in life, so I am open to new ideas in every subject. I enjoy sharing my own experiences and listening to and benefiting from other people's experiences. I am someone who thinks early in my life that I need to get out of my comfort zone. I'm an adventurer and I like to energize people. One of my biggest dreams is to see every country in the world and get to know every culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I see life as a single chance to be experienced in every sense. I want to continue this one chance by meeting new people, sharing with different cultures, and gaining life experience for myself and my environment. Because I think Couchsurfing is the most suitable platform for having these experiences I’m using Couchsurfing :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I listen to punk and alternative rock since childhood. but I'm open to any melody that sounds good to my ears :)

Movies: Tarkovsky is the lifesetter for me so I can say that I’m the lover of art house movies. Besides, I like independent European movies. I'm a big fan of kieslowski and lanthimos.

Books: I love to read classic novels. I love in Russian literature. Dosteyovsky and Gogol especially.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 17, I had an exciting 15-day cycling route from Alanya (East Antalya) to Çanakkale.

In 2022, I made a 40-day hitchhiking trip from Antalya (Turkey) to Gdansk (Poland) with selling my art products.

In 2024, I made a 2 month hitchhiking trip in Southeast-Asia.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach : I enjoy drawing and teaching. I also like to share something from my broad film culture.

Learn: It is my pleasure to get to know different cultures and to taste different cuisines.

Share: I like to share my travel stories that I have done alone and my life experiences
