About Me

Citizen of the world. Originally from Russia, now live in Silicon Valley and work for one of the big tech companies.
My true passion is traveling and meeting new people. This is why I'm here. I love new experiences. Life is too short to miss out on things.

I prefer quality to quantity, freedom to security, extremes to moderation...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am new to couchsurfing. I have a couch in my room where I can host people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I usually watch independent movies and some good mainstream movies.

I listen to very wide range of music. Almost everything besides hip hop and rap, although I can tolerate it too.

Books. "One Hundred Years of Solitude", "Atlas Shrugged", "The Prince", "The Art of War", "Thus Spoke Zarathustra".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driving through the US on Route-66, stopping at small towns, meeting locals... Probably the best experience of my life. Ultimate freedom.

Teach, Learn, Share

I always chase new adventures and this chase makes my life quite interesting... Sometimes it feels like I lived many lives. I was an illegal immigrant, a political refugee, a business school student, and an investment banker. I have very diverse interests, and socialize in very different social circles - from intellectuals and professionals to drug dealers and strippers. I see life as a big highway amid boring fields of corn somewhere in the middle of Nebraska, but it has lots of side roads diverging from it, that can take you to the most amazing places where you can experience unforgettable adventures. The distance from point A to point B is the same, but it's your choice how to get there.

I traveled to different places from Miami, Stockholm, London, and Jerusalem to Juarez, Havana, Hebron, and Ramallah.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Booze, food, and of course good company. I can get along virtually with anyone, because I approach people with an open heart and mind and like to learn new things and hear different perspectives and opinions. Whether you wanna go to a museum, club, or walk through the most dangerous ghetto of your town, I would be up for it.
