Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living and sharing life, it makes the impossible nothing.
ABOUT ME --- I will be hosting again effective July 10.
I consider myself open-minded and flexible, well traveled and cultural, a foodie, love to learn, ride my bike, do things in the water and share my life with others.
I am gay and that does not control my life or who I host. I love to cook and enjoy doing it with others. I have gone hiking and biking with surfers, and learned so much from them and my hosts too.
I tend to walk around in boxers and a t-shirt. I have hosted nudists and the house became a nudist house.
I do not eat much red meat. If you like to cook we can make a great meal together. I have enjoyed that with many surfers, one couple even took over my kitchen for three days.
Biking, being on the water and being outside and gardening are big part of my life in the Summer. I love to hike. I have my low key times. I volunteer with international high school exchange students (AFS). Ask me anything about me and I will happily tell you. Oscar the cat is also part of my household.
I have a tv but do not watch much. I drink beer and scotch, water and other beverages a bit and do not smoke. I am 420 friendly. I keep a very busy life but will make time for others. We may not spend too much time together, hopefully a drink or a meal. If I am very free then we can hang out around town too. I am happy to share ideas of what is great to see in Seattle.
I am more of a day person than the type to stay up to 2:00AM. I will try most anything adventure once, I guess that goes with my great sense of adventure. I love learning about other cultures and why people live they way the choose. My life is an open book and I am happy about that.
I love to hug.
I discovered rock climbing is a lot of fun, as is snow shoeing.
PHILOSOPHY
Don't screw with me, try to sell me something or feel the need to show you are better than I am.
I love to learn, laugh and am a realist.
Help others and in tern you will get something back.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Please note I live about 3 miles Southwest of the Seattle Airport.
I learned about this from someone I met who was traveling. It is way to network and meet friends and share life. Learn about other cultures and share yours. Make it all you can.
I have hosted and surfed with so many different people around the world, some I am still friends with and some I feel a special bond with.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted several times and had great and ok experiences. I will always give a decent and honest reference. Once I hosted a nudist couple, once my host and I hung out half the time I was in the city and it was great. I hosted a couple who took over my kitchen and made us great food. I have had great times sharing meals, laughter and culture. I have made some life long friends with Couchsurfing and I hope you will too.
I have learned a lot from people I have met and feel they have enhanced my life. I hope I can learn something from each surfer or host I meet. I am still friends with some too. It is what we can offer each other and learn from one another too that I gain from this.
It is about respect and what you offer people in life. It is about love, and inclusion too.
Interests
Cooking, movies, arts, laughing, making friends, the water, travel, mystery books, outdoor activities, my garden, hanging with my friends who I fee like are my family.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like biographies, and true murder mystery books. I like all music but rap. I like a variety of movies, no sci-fi though.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
STP (Seattle to portland bike ride) twice.
I have lived in or visited all of the 50 states.
In 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017 I had my naked body painted and with more than 400 others lead the beginning of a parade on our bikes. I will do it one more time this July.
This year I plan to ride in the World Naked Bike ride in Portland.
I have been rock climbing and it is amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to meet honest people who do not take advantage of others. Respect me for my thoughts and we have a better chance to get along.
Have positive energy and be the type to say good things about your friends and family, not negative.
I love hugging, smiling, and sharing who I am with others.
I am learning more about sustainability and creating my own soil and permaculture.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Great conversation and sharing stories about me and my surfers too. Let's learn from each other. I love to cook too. Of course information about my city. Education on local government and agencies I have been part of, local culture, permaculutre as I continue to learn more about it as well.
