About Me

I was born and raised in South Africa and I'm currently in the process of immigrating to Switzerland, where I will get married to the love of my life in a few months. I just returned to Cape Town after living with my fiancé in Lenzerheide, Switzerland for three months to come and prepare everything needed to marry abroad. I'm a passionate musician, love the outdoors and have an empathetic character. I have done my fair share of Au Pair work and have been working in hospitality for the past few years. I love to cook, write and compose, meditate, read, hike, travel, I'm passionate about animals and nature, etc etc... Basically, I'm a very adaptable person with an open mind and I like to emerge myself in new cultures and belief structures to try and broaden my perspective of this world. I'm also neat and enjoy being alone as much as being with friends and families. Enough about me, I would like to know more about you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new to couchsurfing, yet feel that it is an amazing platform for like-minded people to get to interact in different social environments. I've always had a great sense of adventure and feel like couchsurfing could open the door to many exciting endeavours in the near future. I need a room/couch in Cape Town from 05/02/2018 - 19/02/2018 as my lease will expire and I will be heading to Switzerland where I hope to one day return the favour. Please get in touch if you would be willing to host me for those two weeks. I promise I'm very easy to live with and show the utmost respect to others and especially their homes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2016 I decided to quit my job, sell all my possessions and go on an unplanned roadtrip across South Africa. I busked, played gigs, slept in tents, mansions and cars, met incredible people, laughed until it hurt, saw some of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, sang and played music around many camp fires, swam in rivers, oceans and waterfalls, saw stars in remote areas where their brightness is incomparable, volunteered in permaculture gardens, worked with horses, and ate like a king and a peasant along the way. The whole experience changed my outlook on life completely and I would love to do it all over again.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach music, specifically guitar, vocals and song writing.

I would love to learn some more German as this is crucial for my future.

Let's share some incredible stories and perhaps a beer or two.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm not a bad cook and would love to share some of my recipes with you. I can share my loving attitude and willingness to always help wherever I can. I can share some music with you, my own or helping you find your own by teaching you. I can share my cheesy jokes, they're the best.. sometimes
