CURRENT MISSION As an empty nester my goal is to travel the world and host others of the same mind. ABOUT ME As a corporate trainer I travel world-wide teaching others proprietary software applications and designing training content. It allows me to see the world on someone else's dime. I realize everyone does not always get this type of opportunity so I want to open my home and couch to other explorers. PHILOSOPHY I yam what I yam and that's all that I yam.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I am a teacher to the core and I enjoy the company of others but also love the flexibility being solo. I like to see the sites beyond the normal tourist attractions and learn the history of the places I visit. I realize Ames, Iowa is not a destination for most travelers but I am here if you need a place to stay. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I have hosted three travelers and enjoyed the experiences.
Music, Movies, and Books
As a kid my grandfather would gather us up and take us to travel documentaries sponsored by the Lion's Club. I loved these show and always envied the presenters.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I just got home from the Iowa State Fair and had a GREAT time!
