Overview
About Me
Hey there! I live in New Orleans, LA and am planning a European trip next summer (2016) with my boyfriend Rex. We are musicians and are looking for an adventure and to meet new and wonderful people, see new and wonderful places and hopefully play some music. We already have one little gig lined up in Belgium, and hope to maybe play a few more shows.
Main goal of the trip is to take time to really appreciate more of this beautiful earth both places and people. We are really kind, thoughtful and open minded people and are happy to help out in any way. We both work very hard and we want to treat ourselves with a wonderful European adventure.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think this is such a good idea! I like the idea of meeting a local and staying with them and hopefully really experiencing the life of a local. Also, traveling on a budget is challenging so I think it's a great way to save money so I don't get back home COMPLETELY broke! I also think that people are wonderful and want to meet more like minded folks and hopefully be able to help them out in the future.
Interests
I love music (hence my career). I love playing sports too-any sport (especially volleyball) and being outdoors. I like to try new things and am pretty open to trying anything in hopes of finding another cool thing to do on my spare time.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I typically gravitate towards mellow sounding stuff like Bon Iver, Regina Spektor, Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova (Swell Season), The Head and the Heart, Adele, Coldplay, and Fleet Foxes. However, I definitely have my days where I listen to more rocky stuff like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Queens of the Stoneage, The strokes, Opeth, The Black Keys and Weezer.
But I am also a huge fan of Classic Rock/folk: Wings, Steely Dan, Jackson Browne, Simon and Garfunkel, Billy Joel and Joni Mitchell.
I have been getting into some older funky stuff too (thanks to my boyfriend) like Weather Report, and anything produced by Quincy Jones.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This is hard. I guess I don't really have an answer. I am really grateful for my life. I have had the opportunity to go to college, travel, work in a profession that I just cherish and believe in, and play music in a lot of cool settings.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am happy to share anything about myself and learn in any way possible. I think I could teach someone, but I am not sure what about. I know some things that I am happy to teach if someone expresses interest.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a positive attitude with my host(s) and gratefulness for their kindness. I am really open to having new experiences and learn about different cultures and perspectives.
