About Me

I like to think I'm a polite and relatively funny human being...relatively!
I've been lucky to travel a lot as I've grown up and I've got a genuine love for knowledge. Whether that's learning about new cultures and places or just having a couple beers and doing pub quizzes. I started travelling after I graduated in Journalism, as I wanted to take the chance to see the world around me, before I started writing it all down.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Looking for a more genuine experience on Part 2 of my trip through Japan, Canada, Central and South America. Hoping to meet some like minded people who can share there knowledge of their surroundings but also who I can connect with better than just a few raucous nights on the piss in a hostel.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Alt J, Frightened Rabbit, Foo Fighters, RHCP, Angus and Julia Stone, Mumford, The Strokes, Novo Amor ...the list goes on and on and is very varied.

Books: And the Sea will Tell, Into the Wild, Shantaram, Bill Bryson, Leo Tolstoy, Jane Austen, Dickens, I try and tend to read a lot of classics. Either because I'm often a hopeless romantic, but I also believe they contain a lot of valuable moral lessons.

Movies: Shawshank, Swiss Army Man, Airplane, Wall E,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled to the closed country of Bhutan for a month and experienced a true sense of isolation. Learnt about Bhutanese Buddhism as well as hiked the untouched wilderness and peaks that make up the end of the Himalayas.

In general, the most amazing thing I've ever done is travel. I've been away from home for upwards of a year now and every new place I've seen has come with it's own amazing story and a plethora of new exciting friends and experiences.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can maybe teach you a little Spanish, I'll happily tell you stories from Bhutan and other places that I've been too. Happy to share my passion for doing dishes!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Funny stories.

My passion for doing the dishes.

A mildly good performance on a left-handed guitar.

I'll think of some more...
