About Me

Hello and welcome to my profile!

My name is Cami and I am convinced that the world is too big and diverse to spend my whole life in just one place. So for the past ten years I've been on a mission to travel the world.

Whether in my own country or abroad, I travel to discover what lies beyond my comfort zone. I prefer to visit lesser-known places, stay in local homes, use public transportation, and engage in immersive activities rather than consuming "conventional tourist products."

I travel without haste, without a fixed itinerary, allowing myself to be surprised and with an open mind to seize every opportunity that comes my way.

I finance my trips by working as tour guides in Buenos Aires during the peak season, doing remote work in Digital Marketing, volunteering, and taking seasonal jobs in some destinations.

My hobbies are cooking (if you are kind to open your house to me, the less I can do is prepare some typical argentinean food for you), learning foreign languages, photography, and of coursetraveling (wanderlust is my favourite word).

Feel free to contact me on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/camila.gonzalez.756) or instagram (viajemossinrumbo) if you want to know more about myself!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since the main goal of my journey across the world is to connect with the people in each destination and through them experience their authentic culture, couchsurfing makes way more sense than any other accomodation type.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've trekked on top of a glacier in Patagonia, sailed on a viking ship in Denmakr, smoked an havanno with farmers in Cuba, climbed to the top of a Mayan pyramid, went on a one-year youth exchange program to Switzerland through Rotary International, became a polyglot by the age of 22, and road-tripped Patagonia from tip to tip on an RV.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer hosts tons of travel stories, insights into my culture, and the opportunity to savor various Argentine dishes cooked with my own hands!
