Overview
About Me
CouchSurfing has literally changed my life. In the 2010-2011 school year I was studying pre-law at Loyola University Chicago. During this time I made some really important changes in my life and also decided to try my hand at CouchSurfing. During my year in Chicago I was privileged to host people from all over the world, including Worcester, England, my current location. I made the huge leap and moved from California to Chicago to England in two years and would never change a thing. Through this whole process I've had the opportunity to learn a lot about myself and a lot more about the constantly changing world around me. And I've made the best friends I've ever had.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I can honestly say CS is one of the best things a young person interested in seeing the world and learning about people and cultures can participate in. The amazing thing about this system is that you can visit places and actually immerse yourself in the world around you with people who know it best. While my couch isn't currently available in Worcester I thoroughly encourage anyone who wants to visit to take us up on a cup of coffee! Hopefully you can learn a little bit about the place I call home from someone who was in your shoes not so long ago.

Music, Movies, and Books
This list could go on forever. I'm an avid and prolific reader and have never turned down a book recommendation. I think the literature people peruse tell a lot about who they are. If I had to pick my top 5 favorite books at this very moment in time they would be, in no particular order: The Fountainhead, Wizard's First Rule, World Without End, Slaughterhouse-Five, and Salem's Lot.
I love music and I'm generally not incredibly picky on the type I listen to but I really enjoy alternative/indie rock.
As for movies, I'm almost as obsessed with them as I am with books. I love going to movies and I love my Netflix account with a fiery passion.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Every place I go there is something amazing to be discovered. Hiking to the top of Vernal Falls in Yosemite National Park, Ca, one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Attempting to walk three blocks to Lake Michigan during one of the worst blizzards Chicago's seen in 40 years - we failed. Accidentally walking 100s of blocks from Midtown in New York to Columbia University in Harlem. Seeing Franz Ferdinand's ridiculous collection of animals that had been taxidermied, 100,000s that he'd hunted before he died, at his estate in the Czech Republic. Discovering the supposed birth place of Zeus on Crete, as well as the last surviving leper colony in Europe that was closed in the 1950s.
Teach, Learn, Share
"Better by far to simply try and be good and courageous and bold and to make a difference. Not change the world exactly, but the bit around you. Go out there with your passion and your electric typewriter and work hard at... something. Change lives though art maybe. Cherish your friends, stay true to your principles, live passionately and fully and well. Experience new things. Love and be loved, if you ever get the chance."
