I used to work at Universities for several research institutes years ago, but one day I realized that it's all just about money and fame and I don't really need much of both. So I started concentrating on my family and the life I want to live. I like working, I'm not lazy, but I've decided to work what's either fun to me or benefits others.
This year I've started to work as a personal assistant. I'm working with persons who need assistance in their every day life 24/7. I absolutely love that job and it makes me really happy!

I try to teach my children to be open minded. I don't like prejudices. I love to get to know other people, see how they live, what problems they have to face, what makes them happy... I love to share what we've got. Even if it's just a funny moment or a peaceful night in the garden.

I love hiking and Schlangen is absolutely perfect for great trips to the Teutoburger Wald or the Eggegebirge.
The Externsteine are amazing. The Silberbachtal is like a fairyland. So many beautiful spots around our little town.

Paderborn isn't far away and I also like to go out at night. There are several clubs, Irish Pubs, cinemas, Theater, restaurants, … I like a cold beer at the pub, a good wine at the Tapas Bar or a juicy cocktail. :-)

My life never went straight and I really like it that way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really love the idea of couchsurfing. I do have a bed (or even two) to offer, and in case someone needs it, why shouldn't he use it...!? But that's just the one side. It's also great to get to know people.
I like traveling a lot and I like to support those who travel. I also love to be supported on my journeys. :-)

Interests

I like to go and see cities allover the world. I could walk through a city for hours, feeling its vibe, its people, going to cafés, museums, parks, finding small shops and bars,... my favorite cities are Prague and Dresden. Doing it with a good friend is even better! :-)
I like to have people around me. I like meeting friends. Eating together, going out for a drink or just sitting somewhere for a good talk.
I love hiking. There are many places around Schlangen, but we also like to go somewhere else for the weekend to see new places.
