About Me
Hello there!
My name is Carina and I am from Germany. With 16 I got the travelbug while I participated in a schoolexchange in Canada for 6 months. Ever since, I developed a passion for other countries, cultures and over all people and their way of living and thinking. I quickly realized that you need a certain time to understand a culture and to immerse into it therefore I try to link my stays abroad with work, volunteering work or studying, which means I usually have at least 6 months to adapt to a culture and life. To get in touch with locals, learning the local language is a must and inevitable if you really want to understand a culture. That's why, learning languages and practising them became another passion.
To bring all my interests together, I started studying Social Work in Germany with the aim of either working abroad or in Germany with migrants.
So, yeah... I like meeting people, speaking languages and learning new things (sports, cooking, skills). I am flexible and I have a talent to adapt easily to situations and circumstances.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing, because I want to do a trip by bike from Marseille (where I am currently living) to Monacco from the 3rd July to 15th July 2017 and I am looking for nice people who could imagine to lend me their couch for one or two nights on the way!
