About Me

I'm an aeronautic mechanical design engineer from Mexico. I love to travel and discover new places/people/music/culture/films/food + beers!
Currently living and working in Queretaro (~3 hrs from Mexico City), with two roommates.

I consider myself friendly and try to offer help to visitors/tourists whenever possible, since I've been in the same situation before and I know how appreciated it is when you're new in a place outside from home.

Sadly, for the moment I only have a futon-mattress to offer during weekends and sporadic nights during the week. Also, it's my duty to let you know I have a pet dog named Luna, and while she might look like a wild coyote, she's really friendly with any visitor and we consider her as the spoiled princess in the house.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and I enjoy meeting new people. I consider this an excellent tool for meeting people with similar interests, and get a broader perspective of new cultures and places.
I admire the respectful, supportive and eager-to-learn culture within the users of couchsurfing. Also this is a helpful and economic night-stay option while travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I listen mostly to The Beatles, Radiohead, indie rock, folk, classic 60-70's rock, grunge, punk, alternative; but I'm really open to any kind of music and enjoy discovering new bands and genres.

Movies - Any movie as long as it is recommended by someone or has 4+ stars in Netflix. I enjoy genre or cult classics such as The Godfather series, Trainspotting, movies from Christopher Nolan/ Quentin Tarantino/Wes Anderson/Woodie Allen, independent/international films, Sci-fi/Fantasy/Thrillers, Pixar & animation films, Marvel heroes movies, thrillers, etc.

Books - I mostly read technical stuff due to my line of work, but I enjoy novels such as the name of the Rose, The Perfume, A Song of Ice and Fire book series, anything from Issac Asimov, José Saramago, Julio Cortázar, etc. Also open to receive book recommendations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving, snowboarding, rafting, rappelling - hopefully will add more stuff in here after my future trips :)

I also enjoy volunteering at community building initiatives, specially if there's a chance to go outdoors/camp while working and putting your hands and sweat for a good cause.

Teach, Learn, Share

My native language is Spanish but I'm also fluent in English. I'm willing to teach either of them and show your way around Querétaro and/or Mexico City.

I'm an amateur musician too! Would love to learn/share anything about music. Also eager to learn anything about books/films/culture from anywhere around the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Recommendations for where to eat and drink in town and where to travel in Mexico. Also a free beer and a good talk and a futon-mattress/couch for the night if you stay in Queretaro.
