About Me

Hello fellas!
My name is Carlos, I live in Coimbra, Portugal.
I am a regular 28 year old guy, who likes to enjoy life, going out with friends, meeting new people, learning new things and improving myself day after day.
Travelling is one of the things I wanna start doing regularly from now on because is a good way to do all the things I said above.
After I finished college I have had a few jobs in Portugal. In 2015 I had my first experience working and living on abroad, in London. London is one of the best cities to meet people from all over the world. That experience made me want to travel more, to know more about new cultures, to learn new languages. That are some of my goals in life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am joining this community cause I think is an amazing idea.
I haven't travel too much so far, but I am keen to do it from now on. In the few experiences I have had travelling around I have seen nice landscapes, monuments, castles, museums, etc., but the more interesting thing was what I got from the people I meet on the way and what that experience added to my life. Meeting new people and interacting with locals is for sure the best thing one can do when decide to visit a foreign country.
That's why I am here! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like listening to music but I prefer spend time watching movies and series.
I really loved watching The Wire, Sopranos, Friends, Coupling and a couple more.
Heart of darkness was one of the books that I really enjoyed reading. Recently I read one written by a guy who is a traveler that I think is a worthy one for those who like travelling around the world. It is called Viajar Ligero and the author is Gabriele Romagnoli.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteering in a hostel. It is a great experience and an amazing way to meet new people.
