Overview
About Me
I am a friendly Mexican guy, currently undertaking the second year of my PhD in Politics at The University of York. Love Literature, Theatre, Films (both good and not that good), fine arts, a good novel, a modern well known or not known at all poet... but above all I love Live Music. I like very much meeting new people, making friends and keeping them, travelling, going out... I really enjoy good food and wine, and of course a good pint of beer.
I am very open minded and enjoy a good conversation over a coffee or an ale. My friends say I am a good story teller, a great cook and a very funny and generous person, but all these is not entirely true because that's what good friends say.
Seriously, I look forward to meeting you whoever you are and I am ready to learn new people, new recipes, new stories from all around the world! So I look forward to meeting you soon
We are all travellers in this world, aren't we?
Carlos

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I cooked a big "Mexican dinner" for about 10 people in Vietnam (mainly my host's friends and family). The expectations were pretty high and they bought lots of fresh ingredients and spices for me. They put everything on a table right before me. To be honest, I did not know 70 per cent of the vegetables and ingredients that I had at my sight... still I managed to cook a dinner that everyone enjoyed very much. The good think is that none of them have ever tried real Mexican food.
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach Politics and International Relations but I am also a student
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories, a huge collection of curious, amazing stories about live, travelling, experiences I've lived and also from people who have told me their stories. I keep a record somehow in my mind. I change names here and there, but the essence still remain.
I also share my enthusiasm for food, art and music. I share my cooking and my humor. I share my time and my passion for living (when I feel it) and also my doubts about live and fears sometimes.
