Overview
About Me
I am a curious and open-minded person. I like to learn and discover new things constantly, to keep my brain and spirit alive with new interests and passions. Travelling and meeting new people from all over the world is one of the ways I prefer to do that!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I like to share, to meet locals, and would like to host travellers soon.
Interests
I like any form of art, especially music, cinema, dance. I like to go to concerts and festivals, but also simply listening to music with friends, go to the cinema from time to time, and yes, over the last years I've done my share of binge-watching.
I also like to be out in nature, hiking or having a chilled walk, biking.
Some of my late 20s discoveries are capoeira (to which I became addicted), bouldering, and techno and electronic music.
The last three years I have been doing a PhD on climate law - I am interested and passionate about human rights, environmental and social justice, and politics. I normally like to exchange my intuitions and ideas about the world with friends and strangers.
Music, Movies, and Books
I am very un-picky with music and would dance to anything. The kinds of music I find more beautiful and I can relate to the most are probably bossa nova, Italian cantautorato and some indie. But I also love to listen some latin, gipsy, balkan music, cumbia, or more eclectic artists, like Nicolas Jaar, Monsieur Perinè, NuGenea, Barcelona Gipsy Balkan Orchestra.
Movies: I love Woody Allen's craziest movies from the 70s, and many italian directors from those times (Fellini, Lina Wertmuller, Scola, Pasolini). From the most recent: the Cohen brothers, some Paolo Sorrentino's and Nanni Moretti's movies, most of Almodovar's movies. Favourite series: Fleabag, Friends, Undone, Fargo, Euphoria.
Books I've loved lately: My Brilliant Friend, Normal People, the Elementary Particles, Mujeres del Alma mia
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
2000 km by car in three days, to go see the last concert of my favourite band in Turin with friends. The day after the concert we all went to walk over a tibetan bridge in a village close to France. That was quite a crazy - fun (slightly dumb) thing to do!
I also walked half of northern Spain alone on the camino of santiago - if you'd know my sense of orientation or of practicality, you'd agree it's impressive I came back alive (+) with some renewed sense of freedom
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some italian and english, and also to cook some nice italian dish and paneer (latest cooking obsession). I would like to learn some german and practice my Spanish.
