About Me

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live, especially when it comes to religious and moral views. I´m gay and I really have a problem with people, who want to tell me or others how to live.

Scheiß da nix, dann faillt da nix!

Current plans: 3 weeks Japan in Juli/August. Yay Kawaii!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My flatmate in Stralsund had a huge couch so we had groups of up to three people coming to our place and I absolutely loved it. It was always so much fun to give them a tour of the city or cook together etc.etc. After Stralsund, I studied in Dublin, Ireland, where I had an appartment with a big couch, so I started hosting myself.

Interests

I studied Tourism Management, so Im interested in everything that has to do with traveling, the good and the bad side effects of it. I´m really into art and love to go to galleries. I´m fascinated with the Internet and the possibilities it gives us. When I´m on the road I try to get to know the local cuisine. I have a kind of love/hate relationship with any means of transportation: they are necessary to go from A to B but I hate to waste time sitting in a car/train/plane. I would love to walk everywhere... I'm into sports. Mostly kettlebell training, yoga and running.

Music, Movies, and Books

All time favourite authors: hemingway, john irving, oscar wilde, fitzgerald, moers, garcia marquez. I´d love to read more from Spanish authors, so if you can recommend something...
I always postpone my attempt to read Russian authors because they tend to write novels with thousands of pages.

Last but not least: music.
Highly depends on the mood I´m in and the occassion. With decreasing popularity I´d say heavy, loud and brutal stuff, electronic, some pop music and RnB.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I visited an exhibition about 'The Troubles' in Northern Ireland in Belfast and I remember a boy who stood in front of a screen and watched the masked faces of paramilitary forces. He turned to his mom and asked her if these guys were Taliban. At that moment I was grateful to live in a time and place where children only know war through screens. We should expand that.

Teach, Learn, Share

Reflect. There are always two sides to a story. Force youself to be humble and think carefully before acting. And very important: Less talk, more action. A lot of peolpe waste their lives away with making plans instead of living them.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Ireland, Jordan, Northern Ireland, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Ireland
