I love traveling and a good adventure. I even gave up my house and job once to move abroad to Portugal for a while. After living there for 8 months, I came back to the Netherlands (just before COVID) and decided to build up a life there again. Although I’m still happy with my home base here, I would love to travel more often again.

I absolutely love meeting new people and cultures and exploring the world together.

I’m not really a party animal, but love going out for a drink or good food. And sometimes I love to go out for some good dancing! I also love to be actieve during the day, having long walks with my dog, go exercising or just hang out with friends. You make me really happy with a good glass of wine and a cheese platter ;-).

I really love being in nature. Doesn’t matter if I’m near the ocean, in the woods or somewhere in the mountains, being surrounded by nature makes me feel so calm and guided, that I feel the happiest when I’m outdoors.

I’m working 4 days a week (1 day at home) and study Communications. So from Monday till Friday I’m usually busy during the day. In the evening I’m available to hang out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It has been a long time since i’ve been active here. Since COVID came in 2020 I haven’t been travelling that much anymore. And I did not had the space to host people.

But in my current home situation I am having an extra room, so I am able to host someone that is interested in exploring the north of the Netherlands. Place keep in mind that I don’t live near Amsterdam (aproxx. 2 hours away from it)

Myself, I’m looking forward to travel more often again.
I love meeting new people and cultures. Traveling is so much fun but the best is to be surrounded by the locals and people that know the country best!

I don’t mind sharing space and I love having new travel companions as I go. I am friendly and respectful of other’s belongings (backpacker code of trust, don’t be a d bag xx) and I am excited to continue to be able to see new places and meet new people on Couchsurfing!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is really important to me. Currently I’m renewing my love for electronic music, but to be honest I can listen to all sort of music, same with movies! I love relaxing evenings with a movie, some good food and a drink or just some music in the background.

Books: Due to studying besides my job, I don’t have much time left to read. But when I have the time, I really love reading thrillers and personal development books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Going on a solo-trip to Bali

- Renting a car without driver in Flores (Asia) which was highly unusual, and drove around this beautiful unknown island of Indonesia by ourselfs. Driving trough dry rivers because there was no road, seeing wild monkey on the way, getting lost in the dark (because the car light didn't properly work) on tiny roads in the mountains, climing the Kelimutu volcano and watch the stunning view over the volcano lakes.

- Living abroad in Portugal and building up a live in another country where you know nothing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m not sure I have anything in particular to teach. I always have things to say and I definitely have my own opinion on things, but it is up to you what you want to share.

I love to learn from each other by sharing different opinions and views on live and having meaningful conversations about all life aspects. I’m always interested in what you have to say.

I am interested in learning new languages and learning more about different cultures. And I’m always in for trying things that I haven’t done before.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can definitely learn you some Dutch words and would love to show you my hometown.

I love making breakfasts, lunches, diners, actually I love making any food. I also love to share a bottle of wine and exchange experiences. Oh, and if you like to play games (and don't mind to lose) i'm your girl!
