About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience and see as many people/places while I still have the strength and courage to do so.

ABOUT ME

I believe that I am a very fun loving person and I have a passion for seeing places that I have never been. Even if they are in my home town :) I am currently learning Spanish as a second language but I have a long way to go. I grew up on small peach farm in rural SC with a horse and a beloved goat named Lorraine. She is still kicking after almost ten years haha. I don't think many people can say that they milked a goat then bottle fed her baby. I also picked peaches every summer along with blackberries. Therefore, I'm good with peach fuzz ;) I also started practicing yoga about a year ago and have absolutely fallen in love with it. I do vinyasa yoga and I prefer it in a heated room.

PHILOSOPHY

"There is nothing like looking if you want to find something" J.R Tolkein

"What you seek is seeking you" -Rumi

I don't know if I have a strong and distinct montra but the main thing that I try to live by is to always try new things. Even if they are right outside your back yard.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I love to travel and meet new people!! Also traveling is expensive :() and you don't get to know the city the same way if you just stay in a regular hotel. I love sharing with people and showing them around if they are interested. Columbia is a small capitol and not much happens here, but there are lots of drinks to drink and food to eat if your feeling hungry ;)

Interests

Like I said above, the things that really grab my attention are new places, people, and new ways of thinking. One of my favorite things to do in a new country are to try the local cultural dishes. Life is just not fun without a little flavor.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the moments that left me completely awestruck was when I went ziplining in Costa Rica. I never thought I would be the person to do something like zipling because I was afraid I would be to terrified. I was scared at first but once I did it I had the time of my life. It was an unexplainable moment that just left me in awe in a good way. The second most amazing moment was when I went to California and saw Lake Tahoe. It was an absolutely beautiful natural lake and it just opened my eyes to the wonders of the natural world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Literally a couch. Surprise! :) But I can also offer you a good home cooked meal or we could go out and eat a yummy restaurant. Holla...
