ABOUT ME

This is worse than filling out a dating profile. I'm outgoing with introvert tendencies. My entire life has been jumping head first into unknown territory and making it work.

German born US citizen, love live music, concerts, dive bars, urban exploration, food trucks, and road trips. I like to cook, I've dabbled in a few instruments but was never good at any except guitar, which I'm very out of practice with.

Always being willing to offer a couch if I'm not traveling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I grew up in the Army so I moved every few years. From it I've learned to sleep on everything from floors/tables/cars/couches to the roof of a building.

My first CS experience was in Norway and I had a great experience with it. I have a ton of unofficial couch surfing just from having friends all over the world that I stay with when I travel.

I tend to be rather nomadic but I'm more than willing to host people when I'm home.

Life. I'm a firm believer in try anything twice. First time experiences can always be hit or miss. I believe the only way to truly live is to experience everything life throws at you.

My music tastes changes on a monthly basis practically. I become weirdly obsessed with a specific type of sound and then listen to that until I hate it, then move onto something else. Some all time favorites are hardcore punk, house, metal, and instrumental/minimalism. I'm currently listening to a lot of the Only Lovers Left Alive soundtrack, Gaslight Anthem, Daughter, and Eminems new album.

Books:
The Order of Things: An Archaeology of the Human Sciences, Interview With the Vampire, Women, Neuromancer, Cryptonomicon, and about 4 other books I'll eventually get around to finishing.

Movies:
The Fountain, Les Pactes Des Lupes, Apocalypto, Kung Pow, Interview With the Vampire, American History X, You Are Alone

Almost died while driving through the Alps.
Visited 12 countries, some multiple times, and lived in 3.

I graduated and turned down a great job with one of the big 4 to devote 2 years to my dream of Peace Corps that I've had since I was 14.
