About Me
Hi!
We are a family, with 4 children ranging from 19 to 11. The oldest has flown the nest, and gone exploring the world for herself.
We went travelling from 2015 to 2018 around America and then in France on our bikes. W e love receiving travelers when we are home. it makes us feel still connected to that beautiful community.
We love simple life and camping, and are often enjoying outdoors. Good vegetarian food , friendship and laughter is enough!
Our children are screen free and enjoy playing outdoor, exploring nature or playing all sort of games. We tend to do a lot of activities as a family and enjoy spending time together. They have been worldschooled most of their life and are very inquisitive, always keen to learn.
Travelling for us is about meeting locals, discovering the local culture, food and special places, this is our main motivation for hosting and couchsurfing.
We have been using shared economy platforms for years. Unfortunately couchsurfing has somewhat attracted young travelers on a shoestring budget who are only after free accommodation. Due to the high volume of demands we get, we have had to restrict the number of people we are hosting and be more specific of what we are expecting. Therefore we will love if you could bring something to the table, and bring back the exchange part into the surfing bit. Just anything that excites you would do, for ideas look in the section below in "Teach Learn and Share". If you have read this far and would like to stay with us, do mention what you can share. Then we know you've made a point of getting to know us first :)
We are also on workaway.info as Cath Dalle for those looking at a longer stay and are enthusiastic about contributing some skills or manpower to helping us around the home.
Looking forward to meeting you and discovering your lifestyle.
