I am a kiwi girl (from New Zealand) and am a baker by trade 👩🏻‍🍳 but currently work in the Abel Tasman National Park, New Zealand as a chef for a private lodge. (Wilson’s Abel Tasman is the company, they provide accommodation for those either hiking or sea kayaking within the Abel Tasman).
The lodge, where I work, is closed over New Zealand winter and I get to travel those months in warmer places!
Outside of work I am very outdoorsy, hiking, mountain biking, sailing, sea kayaking but also love some cosy days resting up with a good book or cooking/baking all day for friends and family.
Over the next 3 months I want to be staying in hostels and do some sailing trips. However I am wanting to use couchsurfing as an option to hopefully grow better connections with those who have local knowledge of the areas and also those who want to share stories, food and possibly even adventures!

My favourite thing to think of is when I went on an advanced canyoning trip with 2 friends. It was epic and a trip of a lifetime 👏🏼 full of beautiful waterfalls, great jumps and long slides, all in my own backyard
