About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy life, eat amazing food, see as many places as possible, meet new People!
ABOUT ME
I love being outside, coffee is one of my first loves. Self-professed art history fanatic, lover of all books (especially Children's literature), French by family history but still learning the language, community gardener, baker, knitter, classical Harpist. I love long conversations over a glass of wine, learning history from the people who live it, traveling the world and opening myself to new experiences. My favorite places to visit are churches and monasteries, and I write about sites of religious interest on my blog Sacred Wanderings. I am very open-minded and spend my days in the USA as a researcher in Epidemiology and religion...really fascinated by how people’s beliefs impact their health choices. I am also the director of a healthcare nonprofit supporting providers. I’m very active and am a competitive figure skater here in the United Stated Figure Skating Adult Division (in their lowest level 🤷🏽♀️🤣 - but it’s still very fun! ⛸!).
PHILOSOPHY
Greet the day with a smile, leave the windows open as much as possible (or better yet, stay outside!), drink coffee and tea whenever I can, read as many books as I can get my hands on, skip, enjoy the flowers, make funny faces in the mirror, spend time with children, love my neighbors, hold hands and laugh loudly.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I enjoy meeting up with people who are interested in showing me around, teaching me new languages, and having a great time getting to know each othe!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed in Strasbourg and Geneva in 2012 & 2014. Also in Zurich in 2014. My best experience ever was definitely in Strasbourg where my host was extremely welcoming, we shared many interests, and she took lots of time to show me around the city, explore the cathedral (and share the history she knew!) and we went to a beautiful little tea house together!
