I am very new to couchsurfing, and have never hosted or been hosted yet, but hope to soon! I'm an aspiring anthropologist from a rural town located near the top of the world, gradually making my way to and from many interesting places and hoping to meet many people during my journeys.

There is just too much that I love and thoroughly enjoy! As for books, my favorites are Still Life With Woodpecker by Tom Robbins, 1491 & 1493 by Charles C. Mann, The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck, His Dark Materials, the Harry Potter series, Kurt Vonnegut books, poetry by Charles Bukowski, Persepolis, and the Y: The Last Man series. For music, I like The Mars Volta, Tool, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Takénobu, Diablo Swing Orchestra, Yes, The Shins, Gojira, Portugal. The Man (my favorite Alaskan band!) Sufjan Stevens, Death From Above 1979, and many more.My favorite movies are most films by Quentin Tarantino, Princess Mononoke, The Big Sleep, O Brother Where Art Thou, Amelie, and many more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was a Rotary Youth Exchange student in Padborg/Kruså, Denmark for a year from 2011-2012! I was a high school student at Aabenraa Statsskole, and my entire year in Denmark was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Jeg savner Danmark hver dag og elsker min andet land så meget.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my love of conversation about history, the world, and everything over. I love good discussions and hearing good stories. I also can hold a conversation in American Sign Language from learning firsthand from a deaf room mate I used to have.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share knowledge about where I come from, and be a connection one could have traveling to Alaska one day! I love to make connections with people and have experiences that I'll always remember.
