I've just changed my profile because I've developed a different attitude towards CS.
So I'd like you to read this and "Why I'm on CS" before you send me a request / before you say "yes" to my request.

My name is Cecilia,I live in Milano, I work as a Feldenkrais Practitioner and as a high fashion textile agent.
I'm involved in my community through different groups: Sessfem, Arcigay, scout, community kitchens and gardens.
I love to travel, alone or with my partner.
I love to be in the nature, to move my body, to play cards and board games, to watch movies/tv series and discuss about them.
I've passed my 20s (thank Godess).
I'm queer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm in CS since many years.
Mostly nice experiences, a few not so nice, but never nasty.
I find CS a useful tool for people to find safe and warm places to sleep for free, but also to meet locals and feel welcomed as a potential friend, not as a tourist.
I've made some long lasting friendships thanks to CS, and I keep visiting/hosting some of my CS friends, once in a while.

I don't host, but I can give info/advices about the city, and eventually hang out, if I have time and I feel like it.
I'm thinking to rent a bigger apartment because I'd be happy to host female people, either cis or transgender, and queer people.

I'd like to say a few things that I hope you will read:

To hosts:
I don't need "the perfect visit", I don't need to be impressed, I don't need nor want to spend all the time with you, just because "we are supposed to".
I enjoy just sleeping at your place, feeling comfortable, welcomed and safe.
I'd like to offer you a dinner, a present or at least a coffe in return.
Only if we both feel so, I'd like to spend some QUALITY time together, but only if it happens, it's not obligatory.
If you feel like sharing, I'd love to listen stories about your life, your territory, your culture; to see your favorite place, to meet your friends, or your family; to cook together, to play, sing, walk in the city or in the nature, if you like to (I do very much).

To guests/people I'd like to meet:
I'M NOT INTERESTED IN DATING.
It seems that many people use CS as a dating site.
"I'd like to hang out with you" sounds to me "I want to meet you and maybe kiss/have sex with you".
Probably this wasn't the intention of everyone who wrote me, but still I don't feel comfortable and I'm not interested when I receive this kind of request.
So please, don't waste your and my time, thanks.
