ABOUT ME

Me?!

A travel junkie girl from Indonesia!
I have the wanderlust nerve since I was kid. Every summer break (well, in Indonesia we call it as year end holiday) I've been traveled overland from Sumatra to Java for holiday trip (every single year!) since I was 5 years old. Then, my travel passion was still haunted me during my life as student for years. Lived away from my parents made me a bit easier to wander around Sumatran beaches and forests. This wanderlust soul was getting stronger as I was working in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia, where I could easily get access to many places, both local or going abroad. That's how I finally end up moved to Europe and had a great 3 years living there!

When I was 4, I used to go with Mom to the post office (back then we didn't use e-mail yet! haha :D ), and my favorite section is the 'postcard corner' where I could see lot of beautiful places from all over the world! And there were two things cling inside my head at that time. Eiffel tower and Tulips field. And this 4 years old girl told her mother "I wanna be there someday, Mom". :)
And after 20 years, finally this 4 years old girl could reach her dream! I thank God for a chance to live a wonderful year in the Netherlands, saw the rusty awesome Eiffel tower, visited some other countries in Europe, and then living for another 2 years in Denmark - Scandinavia country! Continued to wandering Europe from west to east, gained more and more international friends, and finally got used to the shitty cold weather in the north land!

For me, dream is the best motivator that I need to achieve my goals. I hung my dreams 5cm in front of my head, so I could see it, and make it as my motivation and pursue it with all my efforts.

PHILOSOPHY

Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.
Coz traveling is not about going somewhere place, but also gain new experiences and get some new friends.
Coz every place has its own story ;)

Though I like travel to many places... I proud of my home, Indonesia... the most beautiful place to explore the nature!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I knew it from a book and a friend told me as well about this cool site. Then I joined and found lot of new friends and experiences. I joined on some CS events, both in my residential city or in a city I've visited. Do both surf and host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed in France, Germany, Sweden, Poland, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, & Austria.
And I hosted some guests in Rotterdam, Delft, Amsterdam, & Copenhagen for hanging out and showed them around the city.
I also join in some CS activities and meet up.

I had a lot of FUN experiences while surfing, although I also had one or two bad experience. And I'm a person who will tell the truth. I'm not gonna write a good reference just to please the host, BIG NO! I wrote what I felt. But sometimes people can't accept it. They don't want me to tell the truth and even threaten me so bad just to make me change my reference into some positive thoughts. They thought I was rude because I told the truth in public. I don't mean to be rude or what, I just be honest. I am who I am. I don't wanna be somebody else and tell the lies!!

Yes, I'm a worshipper and dedicated my sing talent for God.

But don't get me wrong. I'm not kinda boring religious person. Haha :D Tequila n Vodka still my bestfriend. :p

I can see all movies except horror! I just don't befriend with those creepy things who haunted me from the dark or underneath my bed! :p yeah, I don't like dark.

I'm a Tolkien Geek, Game of Thrones geek, Harry Potter geek!! :D
I love to read fiction books (like The Hobbit, LOTR, Game of Thrones, Trilogy Robert Langdon, Harry Potter, Twilight Saga, Enyd Blyton novels, Sherlock Holmes, etc, etc).
You know, like mostly girls, I like fiction novels. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Dare to breakthrough and make dreams come true by quit from my job as an Account Executive (and part-time Tour Leader) at a travel company in Indonesia, and move to Netherlands (and then Denmark) for gaining new experiences and travel a lot around Europe :)
- Swimming with Shark when I was in Karimun Islands - Indonesia
- Climbed up to a cliff on a riverbank in Stockholm and saw the wonderful sunset.
- Spending Christmas Eve in the most beautiful city (for me) in Europe, Prague!!! :D I love it!
- Climbed Mount Rinjani in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara - INDONESIA!
- Witness the largest Blue Fire Lava in the world, in Mount Ijen - East Java - INDONESIA!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love cooking, though not as an expert, but I can help you out in the kitchen. Hopefully you won't be sent to the hospital afterall! Hehe :p *joke*
I would be very happy if we can share some experiences, language, and knowledge. I always amaze with someone else's stories from their travel experiences.
It's always fun to learn something new and know someone new.
