Hey everyone,

My name is Chad Fong and its great to meet you. A little about myself. I am the owner of a community house/hostel in NYC (www.ivystart.house) where I get to host and make friends with people from all over the world from all over the world. I previously attended Cornell University where I studied Information Science and Business. I absolutely love hosting people and getting to learn about their lives.

I have traveled all over the world(literally every major geographical region except for Australia). My first language is English but I can also speak some French and Mandarin Chinese. I'm accepting of people from all religions, cultures, and backgrounds.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I greatly enjoy learning about other peoples' lives and getting a truly local experience. I have always enjoyed traveling and I've learned that the best experience comes from interacting with the locals in a non-touristy setting. I am an experienced host(I literally do it for a living) and I enjoy hosting people just as much as I like hosting others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Anyone who stays with me will actually be staying at our community house/hostel in Brooklyn. While most people expect to stay on someone's couch at their house. you'll actually be able to stay at my community house where you'll be able to meet people from all over the world. There is also a good chance you might be able to get your own room(depends on availability). I also want to disclose that while I am the owner and technically the host on couchsurfing, my brother may be the person you actually meet and hosts you because I'm probably traveling around the world.

We have everything you need for a comfortable stay(memory form beds, blankets, pillows, sheets, and a variety of other amenities)
