I am a mom of 2 sons of 25Joram and 23 years, Benjamin.
We live in the middle of the Netherlands, in Arnhem.
Close to our family who all lives in the neighborhood,
and in the weekends we do as much as possible nice things together. Walk in the forest is our favorite.
(we had a big dog but now he's passed away)

After his first trip to Finland, Joram also went to Porto, but has friends all over the world and has been going to America in recent years. I'm so prout of him and I now also follow his journey wish :)

2025 juni Australië, one of my dream trips!!!
I was in Sydney by my friend and her parents-in-law and see Melbourne for 1 week on my own.
We went to Uluru with my friend and her family in a cabin (high on the wish list from so many people and super proud to be able to go there)
After this special experience I have the grayhond bus and travel in 3 weeks from Sydney to Cairns met tussen stops in Brisbane, Hervey Bay (and K'Gari), Byron Bay)
My friend and I spent a few days together in the area between Airlie Beach and Cairns, where I was alone again the last few days and did some special tours.

After this trip, I still have it fresh in my mind I have decided I want to try to travel every year from now, big or small. Because there is still so much to discover in the world

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In 2012 we stay with a friend of a friend because the apartment that we booked was overbooked and that was the best what could happen.
When someone knows the area and tips had to see and every night wondering listening to our experiences, it was great. So that is couchsurfing for my. And I love it!

So when my oldest son went to Finland in July 2015 and I have brought him to his guest family (he was 15 years and and too young to travel alone- said my mother heart) and I decided to travel around to stay close and to fly back together home 2 weeks later.
It was of course i looked for couch surfin places. I have almost the full 2 weeks around travelled, most via couch surfing.
Had the opportunity for a number of days in different cities to stay and CS host who could tell me more about the city and its surroundings and what fun was to see and to do.
At the evening talking and discuss of my plans, it was the ideal holiday.
And am super proud of myself:) I stood on the Arctic Circle!

With my boy friend I went in April 2017 to New York, that trip was amazing!
We stay with couch surfing a few days in Brooklyn by a we stayed with a friendly lady and we went from early in the morning to night late in and round the this amezing city and have very much seen and done.
Of course, local people have the best idea to do and see that is the best of couch surfing experience for me. talking about the not so touristy things to see and do. I like that so much!

I have been in 2018 for a holiday in USA. 3 weeks of traveling from Las Vegas-San Fransisco and LA. And the
National parks.
With days/nights stay at airbnb and off course also couch surfing so we being able to eat with our host and talk about everything there is to do and see as a tip and being able to share our experiences, makes a trip more relaxed and so much more enjoyable and I love that!

2015 Drive 20 minutes in a Farrari as birth day present

2015 2 weeks tour in finland by myself (!) and first real only couch surfing holiday and I stood on the Arctic Circle and I have only met lovely people. The view of the world become this way just more positive
