About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel the world as slow as we can. To savour travels through our eyes, the people we host and the ones who host us.
ABOUT ME
We're advertising professionals with a passion for food (eating and cooking!), travel, photography and one half has a deep-rooted affection for beer while the other feels the same about all things French. While at home, we're either cooking or eating or planning our next travel, often doing all three simultaneously (it's not as disastrous as it sounds!). We love meeting people and discovering the world through their perspective.
PHILOSOPHY
To prove that it is possible to do everything you want in this lifetime or die trying. If it doesn't work, there's always beer!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - classic rock, jazz, blues, progressive rock, hard rock, trance (although Charles refuses to call this music). Movies - everything (from really old classics to new age world cinema). Books - too many to list out here but a large part of our reading involves travel in some way.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
At William Creek a small town with a population of 16 people, where we were stranded during a flash flood, and it happened to be the day of the annual Gymkhana races, when this town hosted 150 people. There was obviously no place to stay, with people making their bookings well in advance. The community and other visitors all went out on a limb to provide any kind of hospitality they could, their cars, swags and sleeping bags for us to sleep in, and we really got an insider's seat to the best show of Australian hospitality ever.
On a more recent trip, we discovered how getting lost truly is the best way to see a city. We were in Paris, and decided to walk down a nice looking street. Our eyes just kept dragging our feet forward, till a few hours later, we realized we had pretty much walked the entire width of the city, and seen little lanes and streets that we normally wouldn't have. It was magnificent.
