UPDATE: Currently travelling full-time ✈️

Hi! We're Charlotte and Charlon, 24 and 25. We're pretty much outgoing and down to earth, we LOVE meeting people and making new friends ... and we LOVE food and BEER!

We try to be flexible with everything going on around us and we also love hearing your experiences while sharing ours!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Is there a better network than this? It connects the world and brings together a group of travellers to host each other, organize events or else just meet around the city. Also, meeting locals wherever you're going is what delivers the most of your time abroad and then, you could maybe repay it with a few tourists coming to visit your country!

Teach, Learn, Share

After a lot of daydreaming and planning, we gave a spin to our lifestyles and started travelling the world full-time before it’s too late.

This dream had begun in September 2017 when we planned what we used to call a “holiday”, to London. It was so-called due to the way we planned it, mainly budget-wise. Along the way of visiting 13 countries, we learned how to avoid extra costs that are not necessary and still have the utmost memory of the trip. Also, this way we could afford to travel more with the same money. In the last two years, while sitting for our degrees, we managed to visit 9 countries in Europe, 1 in Asia and 1 in Africa.

To be able to do so, we had to change our way of living mainly giving up activities that are mainstream with the young generation. Such things included parties, takeaways and regularly dining out. Luckily enough, we had (and still have) great support from our parents which made it much easier.

What Did Travelling Teach Us So Far?

Besides unforgettable experiences, travelling has taught us that there is no definition of success. The most important thing is to have a positive mindset and the will to work for what you want to achieve. Problem-solving is another key skill as in every trip something always goes out of the plan, and there is no way one can prepare for these mishaps beforehand.

While sharing our experiences, we are hoping it would help and encourage others with similar dreams and ambitions to have a go and make it happen.
