HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING Still in the process of figuring out how best to contribute to the CS Project.
Music, Movies, and Books
I can't say that I watch many movies or that I'm a connoisseur of any sort. That being said, I really love to watch films that make me feel something, help me think deeper, or are just really aesthetically pleasing! Some examples that come to mind are Adaptation, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, and Science of Sleep. Same goes for books, except I read even less than I watch movies.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
About 2 hours into a rough 6-hour hike from El Salvador to Honduras, I sprained my ankle badly. I could neither go forth nor back and was holding the rest of my group back. A passerby with a donkey offered his help to take me down from the mountain. This meant that this man would be going back the way he came from. I rode on the kind stranger's compact-sized animal and he lead the donkey (and me on its back) down safe and sound to the bottom of the mountain. It was a very cool experience to ride down a wild mountain on a donkey, but what made this experience amazing was the generosity of a complete stranger who expected nothing in return for his kindness.
