Overview
About Me
I am a water engineer born and raised in beautiful Phoenix, AZ. I am Navajo (Diné), and currently trying to learn the language (Diné Bizaad) . I will try something at least once and not very picky about anything. I am pretty daring, so if you challenge me to something, I'll do my best!
My common outdoor pass times are swimming, hiking, and biking.
My common indoor pass times are... catching up on all the shows I've missed and reading.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love seeing a town from the local perspective! I find other cultures fascinating and am always learning something new! I am a natural introvert who strives to be outgoing and meet new people.
I enjoy hosting because this town is so vast it is fun to share it with people visiting! I have been here most of my life and can share a lot about the city!
Interests
My favorite thing to do is ride my bike to a mountain, hike said mountain, and sit on the top with a great book!
I enjoy swimming whether it's at the lake, in the ocean, or in a pool!
Music, Movies, and Books
Music - open to anything rock (Korn, Three Days Grace, Hinder, and Papa Roach) , metal (Slipknot and Lamb of God), and country (Buck Owens, George Strait, Shania Twain, Reba McEntire, Luke Bryan and Chase Bryce).
Books - Fantasy/Sci Fi (LOTR, Hunger Games, GoT, Watchmen, The Martian, and HP) and mystery (Authors: John Grisham, Tony Hillerman, and James Patterson).
Movies - Sci Fi (Marvel Movies, DC Movies, Star Wars, The Fifth Element, Jurassic Park/World, Queen of the Damned, and Serenity), Action (Bourne Series, 007 James Bond, and Top Gun), and Dramas (Fight Club, P.S. I love you, and A Lot Like Love).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wood Hauling (driving up the side of a mesa and cutting down fire wood).
Slaughtering a sheep (family owns a sheep farm and I know how to slaughter and prepare mutton for a meal).
Riding a bike down a volcano :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share the Navajo culture, American Football, and my love for hiking and the great outdoors.
I like to learn new cultures, sports (Futbol), and languages!
Share? I'm an open book. Everybody always seems to know my secrets before I know them myself.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you are adventurous and don't mind random ingredients coming together to make something tasty I can cook!
I can share my culture and language, all the swim strokes, and my experiences in life.
